One of the unwritten rules of football looks like it is about to be broken. In fact, this ex-Orlando Pirates star is keen to join Kaizer Chiefs.

Chiefs and Pirates have a rich cultured history and rivalry that splits Soweto and most of South Africa. Therefore, over the course of this rivalry, players are seldom seen playing for both sides.

However, this could change in the up-and-coming transfer window…

CHIEFS CLOSING IN ON FORMER PIRATES STAR

Amakhosi management are interested in signing ex-Bucs star Ntsako Makhubela.

Furthermore, to make matters even more interesting, he is reportedly keen on joining Amakhosi.

“Talks over the signings of Salim and Ntsako started some time ago, but they had to be halted because of Richards Bay’s precarious position on the log. But they will resume after the conclusion of the season. What I can tell you though is that both players are keen to join Chiefs,” the insider told Phakaaati.

Meaning, we could see an ex-Bucs star playing for Amakhosi next season.

This is ironic as it gets in the transfer window. It will be interesting to see if the move materialises. Moreover, it is looking likely. It will be interesting to see if the new coach agrees with this possible move.

AMAKHOSI COACHING SEARCH CONTINUES

As we know, Amakhosi management will be appointing a new head coach on a permanent basis next season.

Several names have been linked to the job, including Raul Caneda, Pitso Mosimane, Adel Amrouche and Manqoba Mngqithi. Currently, Caneda is the priority target, as reported on The South African. However, both Mosimane and Mngqithi will be available when Cavin Johnson leaves at the end of the season.
