Chido Obi is a name you’ll be hearing a lot in years to come in the Premier League. Introducing you to the latest Arsenal wonderkid.

Arsenal prodigy Chido Obi is on fire

16-year-old Arsenal academy talent Chido Obi has found his shooting boots in spectacular fashion. The 1.88m tall youngster, born in Denmark to Danish and Nigerian parents, is the latest name on the lips of Gunners fans around the world. Obi scored seven times in the Arsenal U18s 9-0 win over Norwich at the weekend. He scored 10 goals in a 14-3 win over the Liverpool U16 side in November. Clearly, this kid knows the way to goal. Overall he has 25 goals in his last nine games for the Gunners. Remember his name, because it’s one that might feature for the senior side next season in domestic cup competitions.

Senior side beats Tottenham in the North London Derby

Meanwhile, the senior Arsenal side kept their Premier League title challenge alive with a chaotic win in the North London Derby against Tottenham. The Gunners led 3-0 at halftime through an own goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz. A mistake from Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya gave Spurs a lifeline when Argentine defender Cristian Romero tucked home on 64 minutes. Arsenal fans’ fingernails were in further danger after Declan Rice committed a foul in the area and Spurs skipper Son-Heung Min slotted home in the 87th minute to set up a grandstand finish. Mikel Arteta’s men stood firm, however, to stay at the summit of the Premier League. Champions Man City trail them by just a point. Pep Guardiola’s Citizens also have a game in hand. Yet another chaotic clash between these sides but it’s Arsenal who have now won on each of their last two EPL visits to Spurs.
