KOPANO RETURNS?
The TVSA May House of Zwide teasers confirm that Kopano (Thapelo Sebogodi) will call Nkosi’s wife, Shoki.
Friday 24 May: “Nkosi and Shoki feel they are inching closer to nailing Kopano, when Kopano calls Shoki in response to her video and reassures her – he will come to see her soon.”
Nkosi and Shoki are determined to get the money back from Kopano after he scammed them and went into hiding.
The fashion telenovela made headlines in April when it beat Scandal! and became the most-watched TV show on e.tv
The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) March 2024 figures reveal that the show received 4.2 million viewers on e.tv in March.
The popular fashion telenovela beat e.tv’s long running soapie, Scandal! which received 3.7 million viewers while Isitha: The Enemy secured second position with 4 million viewers.
The March figures also reveal that Smoke and Mirrors is the fourth-most-watched show with 3.6 million which.
WHO IS THE ‘HOUSE OF ZWIDE’ CHARACTER?
Former The River actor Thapelo Sebogodi debuted on Friday (24 November) as Kopano in the e.tv fashion show, House of Zwide.
Kopano worked in cahoots with Nandipha (KB Motsilanyane) to scam the Zwides.
Kopano managed to steal millions of rands from Funani Zwide’s (Vusi Kunene) company thanks to Nkosi.
He went to a prestigious school where he was bullied by Nkosi Zwide (Wanda Zuma) and was expelled.
He worked with Nandipha whose brother was murdered by the Zwides. The pair worked together to settle the score with the Zwide family.
